Really Clear Year 2025: Zoom Only, Thursday EVENINGS
Are you ready for a year of creativity, learning, and fun? Join Really Clear Year, a unique class where we dive into small, intriguing knitting projects before the patterns are officially released. As a participant, you’ll play a key role in perfecting each design—acting as a final editor to ensure the pattern is, well, really clear! Don’t worry, though—I’ll have the patterns in great shape before handing them out. This year’s lineup is full of exciting possibilities, starting with thrummed leg warmers from my “Fake Out” series (shown here)—and I’m always open to requests! Each project is an opportunity to learn new techniques, explore fresh ideas, and share the joy of knitting with a supportive group. We’ve had such a wonderful time in past years, and I’d love for you to join the adventure. For inspiration, check out past patterns at reallyclear.com Supplies: For the leg warmers, you’ll need 2 skeins of Rios and 1 skein of Rasta, or their equivalents. You’ll want a way of knitting in the round on size 5 and 7 needles. (Double points, magic loop, or two circs.) Other supplies needed throughout the year will be sent out before each class. Zoom only, on Thursdays, January 23, March 13, May 29, July 24, September 25, November 6. Your choice of 9-11 a.m. or 6-8 p.m. Eastern. $45 plus supplies includes all 6 classes.

Block of the month 2025: BIG Blocks!
Each year, for the past 20 years, the store has done a block of the month. Each year is completely different from the last, and this year is no exception! We’re trying something new to us again: Giant Blocks! Each month, you’ll complete a beautiful 20-inch quilt block, and by the end of the year, you’ll have a total of 12 unique blocks ready to assemble into a stunning quilt. This will not be an actual class; you’ll pick up your blocks in front of the store between 10 and 3 on the dates listed here. (We can also mail them if you prefer.) Pictured is one of the blocks. The rest are a surprise--but similar. The way to finish a quilt is to take it bit by bit. The block of the month provides the perfect way to do that! If you buy one kit, you’ll have a large-sized throw or twin (approx.. 68" x 90"). Buy two kits to double your number of blocks and make a king- or queen-sized bedspread, plus have enough extra blocks to make a few pillows! The first block is pictured here, to give you the idea of what’s to come. I’ll keep the rest as a surprise, to give you something to look forward to each month! Supplies: I’ll hand out packets each month as shown. Mark your calendars for the dates! Saturdays, Jan. 18, Feb. 15, Mar. 1, Apr. 5, May 3, June 7, July 12, Aug. 2, Sept. 6, Oct. 4, Nov. 1, Nov. 22. Blocks will be out front for pickup between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. $100 per kit, includes blocks, sashing, and written pattern. Please contact us if you wish to have it mailed.
