Learning free-motion quilting gives you so many options for finishing your quilts. If you take it step-by-step, it is fun to learn as well. You’ll have plenty of ideas to take you beyond the class! Supplies: First Steps to Free-Motion Quilting book (we have it at the shop), sewing machine, darning foot (very important!), sewing machine instruction manual, three 18" quilt sandwiches made of cotton and cotton batting (you can use fat quarters), contrasting 100% cotton thread such as Mettler or King Tut, unlined paper and pencil, Sew Slip, and Machingers. Feel free also to have ready a simple placemat made from your ugliest fabrics ready to practice quilting. Date and Time: Wednesday, Mar. 29, 6-8 p.m. This is a Zoom class. Cost: $32 plus supplies.
