Free-Motion Quilting (FMQ) 101
![](https://media.rainpos.com/4804/fmqsmall.jpg)
Learning free-motion quilting gives you so many options for finishing your quilts. If you take it step-by-step, it is fun to learn as well. You’ll have plenty of ideas to take you beyond the class! Supplies: sewing machine, darning foot (very important!), sewing machine instruction manual, three 18" quilt sandwiches made of your least-favorite cotton fat quarters, cotton batting in the sandwiches (we have it if you don’t), contrasting high-quality 100% cotton thread such as Mettler or King Tut, unlined paper and pencil. A Sew Slip, and Machingers are very helpful. Let us know immediately if you need them so we can get them ordered. Feel free also to have ready a simple placemat made and sandwiched from your ugliest fabrics ready to practice quilting. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 6-8 p.m. $35 plus supplies
