Kim started out as a technical writer. One day, just as she was contemplating a career change, she found her life’s passion during a routine trip to the mall.
The local quilt guild was sponsoring an exhibit; when she saw it, she realized that
quilting was the perfect outlet for her love of color, shape, and pattern. She dusted off her great-grandmother's sewing machine, made her first block, and discovered an excitement that led to this shop. She has since been captivated by knitting and crochet as well, and is in the middle of many projects!
Cynthia grew up in State College. Being under the influence of a college town, she was sure that she was going to become an academic--so sure that she even went so far as to get a Ph.D.
But through it all, she loved crafts. She sewed all her clothes when she was young, and learned to knit when she was 23.
When she met Kim, all her worklife plans veered off course--or was it on course?--and she has never looked back.
