Crochet 101
Join Diane to learn crochet basics including choosing yarn and tools, reading yarn labels, reading patterns, and working a simple pattern. You’ll leave class knowing how to make a slipknot, slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet, which will lead you to further crocheting adventures. $35 Supplies: We'll help you pick an easy pattern and choose yarn at class. Bring your hooks if you have them; if not, we do!

200 Crocheted Squares
Diane’s crocheted blocks class is perfect for new and experienced crocheters who want to have fun and learn some new patterns. You’ll dive into the 200 Crochet Blocks book and select your favorite blocks. Diane will show you how to finish them off as stand-alone squares or in pillows, tablerunners, afghans, and more. $38Supplies: 200 Crocheted Blocks book, size E, F, or G crochet hook, 2-3 balls of contrasting colors of yarn (possibly more depending on your project).

Amigurumi
Do you believe in love at first sight? Misty did after she saw her first amigurumi crochet toy—and now she wants to share the love with all of you. Come in and learn how to make amigurumi, the Japanese technique of crocheting small animals and toys in the round, and they are cute. $32 Supplies: Amigurumi World, worsted weight yarn in the colors you will use for your project, crochet hooks (E, F, G) depending on pattern, removable stitch markers, stitch counter, small size tapestry needle.

Boteh Scarf
“Boteh” is the Persian word for paisley. We usually think of paisley as a print on a fabric. In this case, it is a series of paisley-shaped crocheted motifs that form a gorgeous, flowing scarf. $38 Supplies: Interweave Crochet DVD (contains patterns from the 2006-2007 Interweave Crochet magazines) or book, 400-yards sock yarn, size F hook.

Crocheted Beaded Bracelet
Summertime is bangle time! Crochet yourself a beaded bangle with Cindy Decker Raynak. Use three colors of beads and a simple slip stitch to make this bangle. There are several designs to choose from. Cindy will teach you all you need to know to add a little sparkle to your life! $38 Supplies: Six tubes of #6 seed beads (2 of each color), #12 pearle cotton, steel crochet hook (1.3 mm), Thread Heaven (optional).

Juliette Shawl
Join Misty to make a beautiful triangular lace shawl, which is the right size for a little extra warmth on cool summer nights. Shell stitches, clusters, and a scalloped edge make it a pretty, feminine shawl. If you’ve not had much experience working with lighter weight yarns, this is a good project for you. Because the stitch pattern changes across sections it will be sure to keep your interest. $38 Supplies: Creating Crochet Fabric by Dora Ohrenstein, 600 yds DK-weight yarn (Misty recommends Silky Wool), size C hook.
